　　When the news of a new Gym opening in the Galar Region reached Ash and his traveling companion Go, both could barely contain their excitement. According to the message they had been sent on their Rotom phones, the gym would be opened in Glimwood Tangle.

　　当小智（Ash）和他的旅伴小豪（Go）得知加拉尔地区（the Galar Region）有一家新健身房开业的消息时，两人难掩自己的兴奋。按照他们的洛托姆手机（Rotom phones）上收到的信息的说法，健身房将在迷光森林（Glimwood Tangle）开业。

　　It went on to advertise that the gym was supposed to be not only difficult to bests, but also difficult to reach, as it was meant to provide a challenge like no other.

　　The only issue was that being situated in a dark forest wasn't really the best location to draw in aspiring trainers and talents, so the gym leaders had decided to organize a show battle between known trainers and themselves. This battle would be televised, and get the public eye zoned in on the new challenge.

　　Elated by the news, the young trainers set off to the mysterious new gym.

　　When they arrived, they were briefly left confused. The building that they were in front of looked more like an abandoned warehouse than a gym. The three people that sauntered out of the building did not look much more trustworthy either.

　　All three of them wore similar outfits. Their hooded robes gave them a cult-like look, and their masked faces gave little away. The left one's attire was almost purely white with small black linings, the right one looked to be the exact opposite, having mostly black clothes with small white linings. The one in the middle wore a silver attire with dark grey lining.

　　The two young trainers were about to ready themselves for a battle, when all three of them suddenly struck the most ridiculous poses they had ever seen. They almost looked like some television superheroes.

　　"I'm Grey."

　　They exclaimed simultaneously. At this point both Ash and Go burst out laughing.

　　Seemingly relieved at their amusement, the middle one spoke up. "I'm glad you're enjoying yourselves. We're the gym leaders. It is good to see you made it here safely."

　　At this, Ash was confused. "Wait, you're the gym leaders? Why are you dressed like that?"

　　"We thought this would go well with the whole 'spooky forest' theme. When construction on the gym is finished it will look like an old, abandoned temple. Three mysterious masked individuals fit too well into this to be left out." The left one explained. "As for the posing," The right one butted in. "We really don't want a repeat of last time. Your partner almost attacked us because he thought we'd lured him into a trap."

　　"Wait, what partner?" Go asked confusedly.

　　"Did you not write that into the message? " Grey asked Black. "I thought that was his job!" He replied, gesturing to White. The leader sighed in annoyance. "Anyways, yes your partner. As you can see, there are three of us. That is because our gym only operates on a 3 vs 3 basis. We decided to invite three well-known aspiring trainers to demonstrate. His name is Victor. He arrived about an hour ago." He explained, gesturing to the young man sitting on a tree stump not far away from them. Currently, he seemed busy giving a berry to his Thwackey.

　　Ash and Go both ran over to greet him, which he returned with a smile. They talked for a bit, until Grey approached them. “Alright, the fight is scheduled to start in roughly twenty minutes, so it would probably be best if you went to get changed. All contestants must attend battles wearing the gym uniform.”

　　小智和小豪都跑过去打招呼，小胜也笑着回应。他们三人聊了好一段时间，一直到格雷走近他们。“好啦，比赛计划大约20分钟后开始，所以你们最好过去换衣服。所有参赛者都必须穿着运动服参加比赛。”

　　He then showed them the changing rooms, closing the door behind them as they entered. The sound of the door closing sounded suspiciously like a lock snapping shut, but the three young trainers paid it no mind.

　　Ash and Go seemed to have infected Victor with their enthusiasm, as they all chatted on while changing, excited for the battle. When they were done, they approached the door leading into the arena. There was only one issue, there was no doorknob of any kind.

　　The trio briefly pondered on this, before Go spotted a small red button with the letters “PRESS TO OPEN” above it. Without a second thought, he pressed it.

　　The door still did not open, however. Strangely, the only thing that seemed to change was the smell of the air around them. Shortly after, Ash let out a yawn, followed by Victor and then Go. The three still could not figure out what was going on.

　　Go could see Ash sitting down on a bench, and promptly dozing off. Shortly after, Victor had sat down next to a wall and fallen asleep as well. His thoughts were cut short, as the warm embrace of sleep enveloped him as well.

　　He swore he could hear the door opening right before he faded out.

　　As Ash groggily opened his eyes, the memory of what happened slowly came back to him. He quickly realized that he could not move his arms or legs.

　　当小智迷糊糊地睁开眼睛时，他对所发生事情的记忆也慢慢地恢复了过来。他马上就意识到了自己的胳膊和腿都动不了了。

　　Looking down at himself, he saw an intricate pattern of ropes that kept his arms pinned behind his back. His hands were similarly tied to his arms, tightly restricting his movements. His legs were tied in a seated position, with his upper knees being tied to his lower knees. His ankles were tied together right in front of him. Looking around, he could see that he was still in the same changing room from before.

　　As he tested his bonds, he realized that he was bound to something. Or rather, someone. As Go awoke, he seemed just as startled as Ash had been. Turning his head, he could see that Go was tied similar to himself, only that his legs had been frogtied and fastened to his chest harness by a rope.

　　His struggling, in turn, seemed to wake up Victor, who had been lying next to them in a tight hogtie. An extended amount of time was spent trying to free themselves from their restraints, before they truly understood just how helpless they were.

　　The trio decided that it would be best to escape first, and then raise questions. And Victor seemed to have an idea! An almost painful 10 minutes later, their hogtied friend had finally managed to drag himself towards them and was now working on biting through the ropes restraining Ash’s knees.

　　Ash and Go hoped that their new friend would be done before their captors came to check on them, but the footsteps slowly approaching the door quickly squashed their hopes.

　　As the door to the room slowly crept open, it revealed a still costumed Grey, Black and White, who did not seem the least bit surprised that they were tightly bound.

　　当房间的门慢慢地打开时，还是那副穿着打扮的格雷、布莱克和怀特出现了。小智他们被紧紧地绑在一起，格雷他们好像一点也不吃惊。

　　Grey once again stepped forward. “I’m surprised to see that you’re already up. The sleeping gas must have been weaker than I thought.”

　　格雷再次走上前去。“我很惊讶，你们已经醒过来了。这催眠瓦斯一定比我想象的要弱鸡。”

　　“So it was you that tied us up! Why are you doing this?” Ash shouted.

　　Grey seemed amused at this. “You don’t really need to know that, now do you? Anyways, we’re only here because we need to stop little heroes like you from getting ideas.” He said, pointing at Victor.

　　“So,” He exclaimed while pulling out three ballgags, “These are going in.”

　　Before any of Ash could respond, the man had already pushed the gag into his mouth and tied it off behind his head. The young trainer seemed to shout at him for it, but because of the gag it only came out as a low grumble.
