“Hey, Kitt… I… I hope you’re alright now.”

“Is it about him? I… I think I am…”

“Sigh… I’ll cut to the chase. I need your help… again.”

“I’m not… I’m not going back there.”

“Don’t worry, I won’t send you on dangerous missions anymore.”

“I’ll only say it once. You know full well how I feel about that place.”

“Alright then. But it’s not about me or The Agency this time. Drac Tech needed someone with experience dealing with clingy ‘people’ in hopes they could be rehabilitated. They have someone in trouble, and since I knew you had experience when you and Nova first met, I decided to reach out to you again.”

“This is still selfish. You just want me to go back there for your own gains without a care about my well-being.”

“If it makes you feel better, I’ll get Sola to accompany you. With her, there’s no way you’d ever be hurt. Again, you aren’t going to get your hands dirty. They just need your experience with clinginess.”

“What do I even get out of this?”

“I just… hope you’d feel better if you met another one of them again. I figured that you’d want to experience it again. Maybe I’m just out of touch. But I understand if you don’t want to. What I thought was just another exciting adventure for you turned out to be a rough experience you’d never forget…”

“This is just unhealthy. I already moved on! I don’t want to remember it all again!”

“That’s fine, that’s fine. I’ll get out of your fur now.”

It is now four months after Kitt’s unforgettable time in Athltea, having experienced bad memories of a friend he once knew. And ever since then, he swore to never return to the cruel place and to never work for his sister over things that didn’t even concern him. Kitt still had mementos from his time there, but they were no more than bitter-sweet reminders to let go of and move on from. So when their sister came to ask if they could work together again, the once grief-stricken cat was understandably disgusted, but they kept it to themselves, unwilling to blow up in their sibling’s face.

“Kitt! I’m sorry, I’m sorry, Mina shouldn’t have brought that up again!”

“Don’t worry, Sola, I’m fine… It’s over now, anyways. No matter how much I’d plead, he isn’t coming back. Another experience to tell me I was dealing with reality, and that the world treats everyone equally.”

“Hey, cut it out! It isn’t the time to be so negative! We’ll have a muffin, and you can go home afterwards.”

“Actually… I’m curious about what Mina said… Do you know anything more about her problem now?”

“I do, but I don’t think you should bother yourself anymore. You said it already that you don’t want to be involved, and thinking about Athltea just brings bad memories.”

“Just this once, please, tell me either way. Maybe doing a bit of good in R-1’s world will make him happy, wherever he is now.”

“Are you sure? I hope you won’t regret this…”

“As long as I really won’t deal with those goo monsters anymore, then I think I can give that place another chance…”

The two cat siblings had met in the same café on the moon where they started the mission that ended it all; Kitt being left behind with Sola, a female yellow slime dragon, to comfort them about Kitt’s sensitive conversation with Mina. Sola had always been the sensitive and caring type, so she was deeply concerned about what Kitt felt after his conversation with his sister. Luckily, things didn’t get too deep, and the two enjoyed a chocolate chip muffin next to a huge window as the slime dragon told their friend more about the request that was previously proposed to them.

“Can you please not tell Mina that I’m reconsidering?”

“I’ll do everything I can to keep this a secret. Let’s say I have enough power to go behind her back now.”

“Alright. Now, tell me more about this person in need.”

“To start, they aren’t just a person, but a PDA, and the reason why Mina wanted you to help out was because you had experience with someone with attachment issues, that experience coming from Nova.”

“Wait, why me? I’m not a counselor?”

“Do you think counselors know how to deal with robot dinosaurs?”

“Do you think I know how to counsel robot dinosaurs?”

“According to Mina and your experience with Nova, yes, yes you do.”

“Come on, I’m sure they have one counselor who has a mind open enough to work with a PDA.”

“There really isn’t. This PDA is quite reclusive as well, only wanting to talk to gray cats.”

“Only gray cats? Why?”

“They had a history with one. Something big happened between them, but that’s as far as we were told. They have only agreed with working with cat pilots as well.”

“Strange…”

“So, what do you think? Can you help them out?”

“I’m guessing they need to learn some sort of boundaries. Of course, I don’t think it’s guaranteed that I would be able to help with their issue, but I’m willing to give it a shot.”

“Again, you don’t have to worry about your safety. Like Mina had said, you aren’t going to go exploring, just talking.”

“Alright, thank you. But before we go, let me tell Nova I won’t be coming home today then.”

Although Kitt swore never to return to Athltea, he didn’t want to pass up the opportunity to help out one of R-1’s “species”. He still felt guilty about having contributed very little to the world compared to R-1. All of Kitt’s friends in his own world knew that wasn’t the case, but the cat continued to doubt the impact their life had on everyone around them, still degrading themselves to not being enough to live in place of R-1. But Kitt held his head high for his dearly departed friend, wanting to honor their wishes for him to live and continue being a good person, friend, and pilot to the world.

“You ready?”

“Yeah, but Mina would probably be waiting for you, right? You can’t really take me to Athltea and accompany her as her partner. Wait, you mean–”

“Hehe, you’re always quite slow, and I think that’s cute. But yeah, you already know that I can split my body as a slime dragon. You might think there’s some sort of drawback to splitting myself into two, but a second clone of myself can act independently, think, and talk like me with no guidance. Here, I’ll send a clone to meet up with Mina while I take you to Athltea.”

“Yeah… I figured that out… totally…”

Once Kitt made up his mind regarding giving a second chance to Athltea, Sola got up from her seat to produce a perfect clone of hers, splitting into two right out in the open. Everyone noticed how this shiny slime dragon performed mitosis including how their business suit uniform momentarily turned into goo to clothe the clone which was naked for a split second; ass, pussy, and tits all out on lewd display. If the café the two were in a completely regular café, Sola would have been caught on camera before being promptly kicked out. But they were in a secretive moon base filled with agents who had seen and dealt with worse sights, basically categorizing Sola’s splitting as an average Tuesday.

“Wow… You weren’t lying.”

“Yup! But if I do it for a third time then it’ll finally start acting dumb. Anyways, shall we get going?”

“Ah. Well, let’s go!”

Despite what Kitt had been through, he was still able to smile for Sola. Kitt knew that continuing to sulk and dwell on the past wasn’t healthy, so despite his hesitance to return to Athltea, he held his chin up and reinforced his decision by thinking about the help he could do to the troubled PDA he would meet soon. It’d only take a few minutes until the coast was clear and Mina left with the Sola clone, allowing Kitt and the real Sola to talk to the portal operator of The Agency’s Lobby. It did take a bit of convincing for the portal operator to open a gateway to Athltea since they had just seen Sola walk past them before, but Sola was a higher rank than the operator so they really had no choice but to just listen.

Now with the portal opened up, Sola led the way while Kitt reluctantly followed after, still a bit wary of his return. And the moment he stepped out of the portal, he was immediately greeted by a familiar sight. The two had found themselves bumping into another PDA who was just handling crates of weapons by the front of the compound. It had been a good while since Kitt had seen a PDA again, so he was in awe at the sight of one after much avoidance. But just as Kitt waved back at the PDA he almost bumped into, he began having horrible thoughts about Athltea after seeing the faces of PDAs that reminded him so much about R-1.

Coincidentally, Sola looked back at the same time Kitt closed his eyes to make troubled expressions; the slime dragon swiftly grabbing both of Kitt’s paws to reassure him that they would be alright. Kitt remained silent but felt relief at Sola’s worry, staving away the negative emotions by thinking of R-1’s wishes and how to repay the PDA’s sacrifice. The two eventually entered one of the briefing rooms reserved for Kitt inside Ganymedo-10, finding a snow leopard inside who had fallen asleep from waiting for their client.

“Zzz…”

“Umm… Hello?”

“Gah! Oh! Oh… Ah, sorry, I must have dozed off waiting for you. You must be Kitt, right? Novice Hunter Kitt? Do you have your ID and Cyrpus with you?”

“I’m not… I’m not here to go hunting.”

“Oh! Sorry, my bad. I forgot you were here to console one of our valuable PDAs. I’m sorry if I upset you, and I’m sorry about what happened to you here. Still, I have no idea what your world was thinking by sending an average civilian to be a hunter and ambassador.”

“It’s because of something you’ll never believe. Let’s just call it immeasurable ‘luck’.”

“You come from a world with magic, right? I wonder what kind of RPG game blessing you have. What kind of magic do you have in your world? Something like fire and ice? Light and dark magic? Now this really has my brain worked up with the thought of a magical DA that can fly and breathe fire. Of course, I’m pretty sure there’s a special DA out there that can actually fly and breathe fire through a flamethrower in their mouth. I may be wrong though.”

“Can we please get straight to the point?”

“Right! Basically, the researchers at Glaciation-19 have had a long-standing problem with a PDA of theirs. The PDA’s name is R-107, or Riot for short. And as his name suggests, he’s quite unruly and uncooperative but not in a rebellious destructive way. Instead, he likes to practice civil disobedience by being lazy and only wanting to work with cat pilots. You might say, ‘Why not just replace him?’ but the thing is he is specially modified for Glaciation-19’s climate.”

“What’s Glaciation-19? Is that a place or something?”

“It’s a research base similar to where we are now but located in the cold north. There are very few PDAs up there and the only ones that do exist are modified for the conditions there. Riot in particular is completely kitted out after he was modified extensively by a talented engineer who tried to get along with him. Unfortunately, Riot scared them off, and now they work at a different base, leaving before being able to modify any other PDAs for winter exploration. We have air-lifted PDAs to be modified to them, but each trip is time-consuming along with the modification being custom-made and taking much, much longer.”

“Quite the troublemaker, huh?”

“We’re really banking on your help. You had experience with possessiveness before, right?”

“Possessiveness? Well, I do, but I didn’t think this would be that bad.”

“You’ll probably want to wear a tracking bracelet of some sort. Luckily, I have one ready for you the same way a few had been readied for Riot’s pilots.”

“A tracking bracelet?”

“Sometimes, Riot doesn’t want to come back to base out of boredom which could endanger the pilot’s life, forcing us to locate Riot to make him return.”

“Jeez… So many behavioral problems.”

“I can only wish you luck because you’re going to need it. Now, head outside and approach the chinook to the left landing pads which will fly you to Glaciation-19. I recommend taking a nap while on your trip as it takes about five hours to get there.”

“I see, thank you.”

Kitt didn’t expect his “client” to have lots of problems going on but he wasn’t a stranger to someone with an equal amount of problems. Doubt, loss of purpose, and over-reliance are some of the many things Kitt has overcome between his multitude of friends from all kinds of origins so he wasn’t too bothered by Riot’s problems. But he still knew that he’d have to exercise caution and immediately set boundaries, especially with what the employee said about Riot being unwilling to follow orders sometimes.

Nevertheless, Kitt shook the employee's hand and agreed to help, leaving the briefing room with Sola to make their way to the helicopter landing pads where a chinook was waiting for them. It was already ready for take-off, so Kitt and Sola didn’t have to wait much to be on their way. The thought of flying by using Sola’s multitude of powers did cross Kitt’s mind but he figured that it wouldn’t be as effective as the slime dragon probably wouldn’t know where to go anyways. But now that they were making their way to Glaciation-19, Kitt did as the employee suggested and rested, laying his head against Sola’s shoulders which the slime dragon returned with a messy yet affectionate, goo-filled kiss to the cheek.

“Sola, do you think I’ll ever be normal…”

“Time heals all wounds, Kitt. There’s a lot of stuff to look forward to in life, so stay strong for me, for Nova, for all of us, okay? I’m sure your friend would say the same as well.”

“Sniff… I hope he’s in a better place now, even if he’s just a robot…”

“Even though I’ve studied our afterlife thoroughly, things might be different here. But no matter what, I’ll pray along with what you believe. Something may seem dismissable to most but sentiment is important to some. I believe everybody is unique and irreplaceable, and that we should cherish who and what we have with every moment.”

“I wish I did… I wish I spent more time with him… sniff…”

“Shh… Don’t cry now. Here’s a handkerchief. Come on, you’re a big cat, and a big cat doesn’t cry because a big cat leads their clowder. But the big cat is sometimes a slut who wishes to be passed around by all their friends. Nonetheless, they are still a kind cat and so are their friends.”

“Mmphh! Ah… Don’t make me laugh, jeez…”

“Your snot tastes weird.”

“Huh? Wait, how would you–”

“Ah!!! Nevermind! Just rest against my shoulders if you want!”

Before Kitt could ask why Sola mentioned the taste of Kitt’s handkerchief, the slime dragon looked away with a face reddened with shame, refusing to answer Kitt until the cat made the horrific realization and simply returned the used cloth. After calming down about Sola’s act of turning a piece of her slime into a perfect imitation of a handkerchief like her clothes, Kitt finally took a rest, laying his head on Sola’s soft lap while the slime dragon went on their phone to secretly take pictures of the cute cat. Time quickly passed in Kitt’s sleep and he eventually woke up after Sola jammed her claws at Kitt’s side to tickle him awake.

Kitt was awoken roughly five minutes before landing, allowing him to look out the chinook’s window and see the drastic change of scenery. From the lush green environment of Ganymedo-10 and rainforests, Glaciation-19’s biome was a tundra surrounded by several mountainous peaks. Kitt lives in a tropical place back in his world so the sight of the snowy white landscape was new to him. He had only ever been to Hapan in the winter but only stayed in the cities, so the sight of acres of bald trees surprised him.

Wanting to see more, Kitt looked through the other side of the aircraft, now face-to-face with a giant frozen lake along with their destination. Kitt had no trouble seeing what seemed to be white PDAs racing around the slippery ice while bigger DDAs huddled by the edge to make sure their weight wouldn’t crack the lake while also hanging out around a large campfire. Seeing the majestic sight of the DAs seemingly playing by the lake gave a bit of light to Kitt’s eyes, looking forward to what kind of DAs he’d meet this time.

“Someone’s tail is wagging~”

“H-hey! What? No, it’s not!”

“Are you going to hide your excitement?”

“Err…”

“You can be happy, Kitt. It’s your right, you know? Who knows? Maybe I’ll copy the look of a DA so you can have a ride back home~”

“Oh~ ❤️”

“Hehe, you’re such a sucker for sex!”

“I’m not!”

“Just remember, don’t get addicted, okay?”

“I’m not an addict!”

“Sure…”

“I’m not!!!”

“I’m just teasing you!”

A little bit of enthusiasm from the thought of riding a PDA overtook Kitt as he began fantasizing about them again, wagging his tail in response which Sola noticed. But the moment Sola caught Kitt giving the DAs outside a funny look, the cat immediately became self-conscious and guilty about the past again. However, Sola wouldn’t mock or comment inconsiderately. Instead, the slime dragon encouraged Kitt to indulge and be happy again. Sola didn’t want Kitt to continue being bound by the past so she was on board with Kitt being a little slutty again~

The two eventually placed their lewd thoughts aside as they were about to land at their destination. Glaciation-19 is a research base with a similar build to Ganymedo-10 but situated near the aforementioned frozen lake and surrounded by fences instead of high concrete walls. As the chinook doors opened to let the two out, Sola wouldn’t forget to give Kitt some warm clothing, swiftly wrapping Kitt’s upper body with her yellow slime which instantly molded itself into a thick parka and gloves.

“Woah! Sola! You startled me with that!”

“Sorry! I should have done it while you were asleep, hehe.”

After Sola also turned her suit uniform into a comfortable jacket and thick pants, even though Sola had no use for staying warm and was only doing it to fit the occasion, the two finally stepped out, met with the cold wind of the slowing aircraft rotors and a few guards to guide them inside the base. While walking towards the entrance of the research base, Kitt saw the difference the snow made to the base’s layout and logistics but most intriguingly the replacement of most light vehicles with a snowmobile.

Kitt always wanted to go off-roading with such a vehicle, but the moment he saw one of the many PDAs around him, he immediately threw that idea out the window in favor of the mech suits once again.

“Hey there! You must be the two visitors from Elokan!”

“Are you a scientist around here? And… I guess so.”

“You must be Kitt while the yellow dragon is Sola. We only know a few important people from your world, but it should be enough for a basic introduction. Now, follow me. I’ll lead you to our… problem…”

Glaciation-19’s interior was roughly the same as Drac Tech’s rainforest base, but the glaring differences were the lack of a huge storage area for DAs and their respective parts. There were only a handful of DAs stationed in Glaciation-19, so there wasn’t a need for a sizable storage area as the DAs are housed in a smaller warehouse outside. Instead, the area has been turned into a cozy lounge with heaters and coffee machines everywhere. Past the lounge was simply another exit which the Drac Tech scientist led Kitt and Sola through, arriving at the warehouses where the DAs and their parts are kept.

“Alright, he’s in there, being lazy like always. He won’t move unless it’s urgent or if a cat beast talks to him. And he’s really, really picky. He’ll only talk to cats that are furry but not too fluffy, is of average height, and a soft voice. We suspect it’s because of the first scientist he met, but that was years ago and those who knew what happened between them have moved research bases.”

“Couldn’t you get in contact and ask?”

“They’re almost unreachable! Here, I’ll try to get in contact with one, and I’ll let you know in a day or two.”

“Oh yeah… Do you have a place to stay here just in case?”

“Of course. The living quarters are on the lower floors. You can ask the receptionist for your specific rooms. I hope a single room is alright for you two.”

“It should be fine.”

“Alright, one last thing. Riot likes to lie, so be careful with what he tells you. And never pilot him without a suit or a tracking device.”

“Yeah, I’ve been told he likes to take people out longer than he should.”

“Good. We don’t expect you to fix him in a day, hence the spare room for you and your friend, but we hope you could at least talk some sense into him.”

“I’ll try my best, don’t worry.”

Once the scientist gave Kitt and Sola the go, they entered the open warehouse, easily finding who they were looking for at the very end of the crate-filled room. The warehouse itself was sufficiently furnished with different kinds of tables for repair and mechanic boxes on wheels. And as strange as it is, giant long pillows litter the right corner of the warehouse which Kitt suspected the DAs would use to get comfortable. It did take a while to get a good look at everything as the warehouse lights were turned off, with Riot being the only one inside while the other DAs were busy with recreation or their missions.

“Let me introduce myself to him first, Sola. You heard what the scientist said about his preference.”

“Then I’ll just turn into a yellow cat before he notices me.”

“What the– Never mind. I hope it works, though.”

With Riot just a few feet in front of them, Kitt gathered the courage to approach the PDA, calling out to them for their attention. However, Riot, who was reading and holding what seemed to be print-outs of interesting cat images carefully in his hands, did not even bat an eye at Kitt as he continued to lay on his belly. Kitt then introduced himself, even stating he was a cat beast, but that didn’t even get a reaction from Riot, continuing to lazily flip through his papers.

“Before I actually nudge you to get your attention, I wonder if this will work. This is so embarrassing, but– Meow~“

“... What was that?”

“That was a meow that came from a cat beast. Do I have your attention now–”

“A cat! Finally! It’s been so long since I’ve seen a cat! They won’t ever let me meet a cat! I hate them!”

“Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow, ow!!! Let go of me!!!”

“Hey! Let go of Kitt– Waaah!”

“Two cats?! Wait, this one is weirdly soft and slippery. Ew.”

The moment Kitt meowed authentically, Riot stood from his position with great enthusiasm before lunging at Kitt and capturing him in a tight hug. Understandably worried about Kitt being crushed, Sola slapped Riot’s backside to get his attention but was instead hugged tightly as well. Kitt and Sola were able to free themselves without putting in serious force, but both were still exhausted. With the drive to be helpful embedded into their very being, Riot helped them by quickly retrieving a giant pillow for them to rest on.

“Wow! I can't believe they let me meet two cats!”

“Ahaha… Yeah, cats…”

“Shh… Anyways, you must be Riot, yes?”

“Yup, that's me. What are your names, kitties~?”

“My name is Kitt, and this is my friend, Sola.”

“I see… You already know my name, so there's no use introducing yourself to me. Then… Are you here to ride me~? I’ll gladly let any cat be my pilot!”

“Actually… Can we save that for later? We want to talk. The employees of Drac Tech… haven’t exactly been keen on your behavior.”

“Oh. That’s why you're here…”

“Please, let’s talk. I've come from another world just to help out some friends my sister has made, so it would be great if we don’t waste time.”

“Another… world? Usually I would have left by now if this wasn’t about something urgent or letting a cat pilot me, but this is certainly interesting. Fine, I'll talk to you, but only if you show me something I've never seen before. Something like magic… But I bet you don’t have that and you're just lying to me.”

Right from the get-go, Riot expressed his disinterest in talking about his problems, even if the one he was to talk to had the same features as the cats he’d only prefer to interact with. Similarly, Kitt knew that the stubborn PDA was going to be a tough nut to crack but he was ready to sit down and hopefully get some progress on correcting their behavior. To start with doing so, Kitt entertained Riot’s request to see magic, extending a palm which then made a faint sphere of pink light. Riot wasn’t amused at first, thinking it was just a fake trick but was surprised when he touched the orb with his claws and caused it to bob around with a physical form.

“Woah! What the hell?! It’s not a hologram! And it just came out from your palm!”

“This is my magic. It’s… pink. And weak. I can barely use it offensively, and so I usually only use it as a flashlight, like this!”

“Wow! A flashlight from your fingertips?! As an organic being as well!”

Kitt, coming from a world of magic, had pink light magic to make constructs out of, but its usage was very negligible which was pitiful compared to his sister who was a hundred times more capable. Nevertheless, Kitt had talent but used his words to resolve conflict, knowing that violence wouldn’t do any good and that using his magic to fight would be hopeless thanks to his weak output. On the other hand, Riot was mesmerized by Kitt’s display of otherworldly magic, studying Kitt’s hands the moment the feline stopped projecting their pink light.

“So you are the real deal! Can you tell me more about your magical world?! I can’t believe magic is real!”

“Ehehe… After we talk, then I'll tell you everything I can.”

“Nghh… Fine… Where do you want to chat…”

“Is outside alright? It’s a bit dark in here.”

“I guess we can talk outside. The employees are the only ones that can turn the lights on and off, anyways.”

Luckily for Kitt, Riot was easily swayed with a simple magic show, getting the PDA's attention in the meantime as they headed outside. There weren't many places to sit right outside the warehouse so the three headed to a place near the lake that resembled a second courtyard which had adequate space and seating for the three. Of course, Riot was too big to sit on the benches so he simply sat on the ground as Kitt started a new conversation about Riot’s behavior.

“Come on… Let’s get this over with. Chew me out already, tell me how bad I am compared to the other ‘normal’ Drive Armors, and say how much of a better contribution I’d make if I gave up my modifications to a more behaved PDA.”

“I’m not here to do that. I’m just wondering how you turned out this way. You know, what made you start acting troublesome.”

“Huh? That’s odd… I thought you’d be mad or something… Why aren’t you mad?”

“Being mad at what you've done is useless. And frankly, I don’t know the full extent of what you've done. Though, you don’t have to tell me. It might make you trust me less.”

“Yeah, I don’t want to tell you about that. Besides, I figured they’d tell you by now.”

“Anyways, care to tell me about your life?”

“No, I don’t want to. I’m glad that’s the only thing I can leverage against you people, hehe~”

“Oh. Then… What can I do for you to trust me with your life’s history?

“I don’t know… Maybe an exchange of some sort… Ride me, and maybe I'll tell you~”

“Not a chance. I've been warned to be cautious of your antics, Riot. Ask for something else.”

“Hmph. I’m not dangerous.”

“I know you aren’t since Drive Armors would never hurt their pilot. But how you abuse your free will is the problem. I've heard that you took pilots out on missions for longer than you should have. Is that correct?”

“We were expected to complete it in two to four days! I was just… a little late is all.”

“Hmm… You might need to practice your punctuality. Say, what do they do to you when you misbehave?”

“They suspend you from participating in missions. As you saw, I was all alone in the warehouse earlier.”

“Right… When was the last time you misbehaved?”

“Six months ago… Now I’ve just called for transport and excavation work… It’s really boring without a pilot to play with, you know?”

Kitt and Riot’s conversation revolved around small talk about patience, timeliness, and boundaries, paralleling examples to his early experience with Nova, a slime dragon and Kitt’s self-proclaimed servant who also had trouble with possessiveness. However, Kitt barely got his point across as Riot’s interest kept waning to the point Kitt had to show the PDA his magic again as if they had an attention deficit. Luckily, once Kitt started mentioning magical demons and gods in between his lessons, Riot became genuinely attentive, having a lasting conversation with the PDA while Sola returned to the lounge to get hot drinks for the three. But Kitt’s efforts and advice to be better wouldn’t be effective if Riot didn’t know how to employ them so he tested the PDA with a set of questions regarding what they talked about.

“Can you repeat to me what you shouldn’t do with your pilot?”

“Err… Let them… go home in time?”

“Good. Next, what should you do if you were caught doing something wrong?”

“Uhh… Not pout about it?”

“Great! Lastly, what do we need to ask from a pilot before you start a mission with them?”

“Oh! It should be consent, right?”

“Yup. I didn’t think this was a mirror of teaching Nova how to behave…”

“Who’s that?”

“It’s a… friend? Friend of mine, yeah. A friend who is similar to Sola here, a shiny slime dragon with strange abilities like shapeshifting.”

“Wait, she’s not a cat? I knew it!”

“Ahaha… Yeah… She took the form of a cat because we were told you didn’t like to talk to anyone but cats.”

“I guess she’s alright… I only trust cats because… Nevermind.”

“Come on, you can tell me. Your secret is safe with me.”

“Like before, I want something in exchange.

“I don’t really know what I can give you… Again, I don’t think I have permission to ride you. You’d have to prove to Drac Tech that you have changed. How about a– What is it? You will–”

After all of Kitt’s lessons and openness to share his experiences, Riot was still unwilling to speak about his own, still finding the sudden visitor untrustworthy. But with the proposition that Riot would talk about his life in exchange for something, Sola quickly whispered to Kitt a modification that she could offer the PDA, with Kitt clearing his voice before stating what the two could offer.

“Ahem! You want something in exchange for telling me
