You've been working in the ReMily foundation for years, helped numerous people at the ReMily Foundation's reconvalescence center - both recipients and donors alike, so you thought nothing can surprise you, until the Foundation's CEO, Rebecca Becker, summoned you to assign you to your next task, as the in-house carer of outside patient, Roxanne Deveraux, daughter of local millionaire.

"…So, you say she likes it that way?", you asked.

"Well, no, actually", replied Rebecca, her holohead flickering slightly.

"I mean, i, unlike her, had it done voluntarily, the top of my neck stump was closed and modelled in the most functional way possible and i can still say, while the sensory deprivation is frankly refreshing from time to time, i would go crazy if i had to live without my sense collar alltogether.

For her, as traumatic amputee who had no time to prepare herself, other than the fact she was already able to use sign language, it must be even worse."

"Why does she refuse transplant, then? We had head donor just last week and forgive me for judging our patients, but she was quite beautiful. Couldn't miss Deveraux accept a donor head?"

"Believe me, we tried.", Said Rebecca, a heavy sigh comming from her neck stump.

"She signed, and i quote here, she 'refuses to accept hand-me-downs'. Rich people can be quite crazy sometimes."

"Why not a sense collar, then? Wasn't it developed exactly for cases like her? Oh, no, don't tell me it doesn't go with her evening gown, now?"

"Well," said Rebecca, "That's actually pretty much the reason, yes."

You sigh and place your face into both palms, shaking your head.

"We managed to convince her to be fitted with a device derived from the sense collar technology, which contains small microphone and is inconspicious enough to be hidden in one of her necklaces, so she is at least able to hear, but that's about it."

"So, i am supposed to leave my home, my patients here and everything behind and move in to Deveraux manor to take care of her 24/7?", you asked.

"I can not force you," said Rebecca, "But you are actually the best person here for the job, for three reasons. You are very dedicated, you understand sign language and…"

"And…?" You asked. "What's the third reason?"

"She picked you, personally. We convinced her to wear a sense collar for long enough so she could pick her carer. She said, and i quote here again, you're cute."

As you packed your belongings in preparation to move to Deveraux manor, the last words Rebecca said to you still resonate in your ears. "Well, this might be interesting…"

Arriving at the Deveraux manor, you are greeted by the butler, who takes your baggage and leads you to the door to Roxanne's room.

You knock and wait few seconds for answer before you remember why exactly are you there and just enter.

In the center of the room sits Roxanne Deveraux, naked except for her necklace, pair of black stockings and white towel.

Her neck stump is heavily scarred, as expected for traumatic amputation, but it does not detract from her natural gracefullness.

You start to blush, but then you compose yourself and speak.

"Ehm… Miss Deveraux? It's pleasure to meet you. I am the carer you requested from the Foundation."

As Roxanne raises her hands to reply in sign language, her towel slips, exposing her breasts.

"Welcome, i've been expecting you. Please, come closer so i can 'look' at you", she signs.

"Ehm…Miss Deveraux, i think your towel sliped and you're a bit… exposed?"

You say, trying to politely look away while still keeping an eye on Roxanne in case she was signing towards you.

"You don't like what you see?" she signs, "You don't think I'm woman enough anymore?"

This is certainly not what you were expecting - judging by miss Becker's description, you expected spoiled rich girl dressed in expensive gown, very self-conscious about her condition, but here she was, casually naked, trying to hit on you.

"Oh no, miss Deveraux, it's not like that, I'm just trying to be polite, you see…"

"No, I do not see, you might not have noticed, but I don't have a head. The only way I can 'see' things is by touch, yet you still haven't come closer for me to take a look at you."

You are blushing even harder now- you should NOT have said that! That's in every carer's 101 - avoid terms which could be potentially considered ableist at all costs, but with her so obviously flirting with you your brain turned into goo.

As you stammer your apology, she silences you with a stern wave of hand.

"That's allright, don't apologize. Just come closer already." she signs and leans back in the chair, her fingers playing with the towel as she spreads her legs, exposing her lady bits.

Realising there's no point in reminding her again, you take few steps forward, stoping just in hand's reach from Roxanne, taking her hand in yours.

As she stands up, she blindly finds your face with her other hand, tracing your facial features with her fingers, starting from top with your eyebrows and eyes down along your nose and cheeks, stoping for a moment at your lips before continuing along your chin and neck.

As her hand slides lower she joins in with the other hand, feeling your chest, arms, down to your hips, giving your buttocks a playful squeeze, before feeling for your crotch.

As she gently squeezes, a silent sigh escapes her neck stump. Steping back, freeing her both hands, she signs:

"Well, I certainly like what I 'see'. And I felt you do too."

Her chest shakes and a series of sharp moans escape her neck stump, undeniably a laugh.

Turning towards a corner of her room where her bed is, she blindly walks towards it with her arms outstretched.

As she reached the bed and sat, she gestured to you to join her.

"So why don't you sit here with me and tell me a bit about yourself?"

"There's nothing much to say, miss Deveraux,", you say as you sit next to her, "Please, call me Roxanne" she interrupts you.

"Well, miss Roxanne, as I said there's nothing much to say - I was working at the Foundation as carer for last eight years - at first as volunteer, but after school I was hired full-time."

"For somebody of your experience, you strike me as really awkward around nude women?" Roxanne signs.

"One would expect a carer to handle few naked people here and there, yet you seemed taken aback."

"That I am, yes." you reply, "I must admit, I was mostly assisting people with sight impairment or limb difference, but you are first of your particular…"

"Headless. Just say it. You don't have to hide it behind euphemisms, I know what I am - a headless freak."

"You are not a freak, miss De…Roxanne!", you reply, "You need to remember you are still the same beautiful young lady you used to be. Nobody just ceases to be beautiful, or a person for that matter, just because of few scars."

"Well, if by 'few' you mean 'thick all over the top of my neck' and by 'scars' you mean 'a whole head chopped off'…" she signs.

"Miss Roxanne. Listen to me. I know it's hard for you right now, but I'm here to assist you in any way I can. Losing your head doesn't mean losing your identity. Look at our Foundation's CEO, miss Becker for example - "

"No, sorry, don't get me wrong, but that woman is crazy.", Roxanne signs, "She had her head off for what, internet clout? I mean, I respect her for her music career and the work she's doing with the Foundation and all, but you can't compare my situation to hers."

"Well, you must understand, your condition is quite unique - besides you, miss Becker and Danielle Molina, there are only two other headless people in the world and you're the only involuntary one."

"Danielle Molina?" Roxanne signs a question, "Who is that?"

"One of our public speakers, you might know her as the 'Emoji Girl'."

You explain, "She had her head and neck removed when she turned 18 because she was bullied to the point where she could not stand looking at her own face. She's actually quite outgoing and popular now, living with her girlfriend on the other side of town."

"I see. So you say it actually helped her with her mental health and social life?"

Asked Roxanne, signing slowly as if she was comming to an epiphany.

"And here I was thinking my life is over - you see, that's why I was trying to hit on you earlier - I wanted you to make me feel like a woman once again, make me forget for few minutes about what happened to me…I'm sorry for being so blunt, it just…It was stronger than me and I should not have done that, not the first moment we met."

"You don't have to be sorry, Miss Roxanne, i understand, we each cope in our own ways. Just remember, that no injury can make you any less of a woman. I think you are still beautiful, graceful and alluring and as far as I can judge from the short time I spent with you, a generally nice person to spend time with. I'm here to help you cope and assist you with your daily needs."

"So," signed Roxanne, leaning closer to you, top of her neck stump gently nudging your cheek, "If were're on the same page here, let's say i right now have one 'need' I would really appreciate if you helped me with. And drop the 'miss' already, I'm just Roxanne."

Kissing her neck stump, you gently lie her down, caressing her breasts with your hands "As you wish…Roxanne…"
